Marufuku Udon

Out of the blue @icednyior suddenly craved for udon (actually after reading Marcky‘s blog), so we head out to find the Marufuku Udon shop in Jaya One for dinner. I arrive at the shop at about 7.00pm to find that the shop is empty with no wi-fi detected. So decide to wait at Starbucks for some dose of “Tilt to Live“.

So at about 7.30pm we enter the shop but it is still empty, I had my doubts. Sat down inside, and take a peek at the menu.

Hmm, the udon is quite cheap. Ranging from RM6-RM10 with any adds-on of Egg, Wakame and Kitsune for RM1/portion or add more udon for RM3/portion.

Side dish and Yakiniku (skewers) for RM2 or RM3 for acceptable portion size except for the chicken skins, its to expensive for me.

For starters, we had Kakiage Pumpkin (RM2). Nice and quite big portion.

Then we had Karaage (RM3/3pc) – fried chicken pieces.
Also had some yakiniku but forgot to take pic, sorry :)

Then I had Nikku Udon (RM10) – udon with beef strips. The soup is good, it’d be better if it came steaming hot. Udon, normal i guess. How can it be different then any other Udon? :)

@icednyior had Wakame Udon (RM7) – udon with seaweed and she opted it with egg. Taste good also but again would be nicer if it’s steaming hot :)

While having our udon, more and more customer walks in including @wackybecky. She said, she saw her 4sq check in is with a friend, so she was looking for who was it.

After main course, we decide to order more yakiniku. Again no pictures, sorry :)

And we finish it with Daifuku with Red Beans
I give Marufuku Udon 3.5/5 for the good food (all) and the cheap price (some is expensive). Oh by the way, shop is PORK-FREE but they do sell beers. So give it a try if your in the vicinity.
